Do We Need an Apocalypse to Change Society?

Tim Jackson talks about whether society will only change if there is an apocalypse. Tim is an ecological economist and writer, Director of the Centre for the Understanding of Sustainable Prosperity (a multidisciplinary research center that aims to understand the economic, social, and political dimensions of flourishing as human beings on a finite planet). He has worked closely with the UK Government, the United Nations, the European Commission, numerous NGOs, private companies, and foundations to bring economic and social science research into sustainability.

The focus of this podcast video recording, along with several others, is to elevate themes of “The New Possible: Visions of Our World Beyond Crisis”; book published by One Project and EcoCiv, which is available for purchase in print, digital and audio form. Proceeds help fund EcoCiv’s mission and work.
