In a new podcast series, the Ecological Mindset Series, we welcome Jeffery D. Long, a professor of Religion and Asian studies at Elizabethtown College.
Jeff expresses the fundamental principles of Jainism and Hinduism and his relationships with these religions. He describes the role of Jainism in today’s society and how he introduces the Dharma traditions to his students. We discuss how the Dharma Traditions relate to social and environmental activism, and in what ways he would implement Dharma values to create a more sustainable world. His knowledge acts as an important exposure to the Dharma traditions outside of India.
