Conversations for a Life Economy at COP26
November 7, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
If you are in Glasgow, join us live for a conversation at Strathclyde University Student Union on Sunday, Nov 7, 10-11am.
Over the last 18 months Kim Polman and Reboot the Future have been convening private ‘imaginal conversations’ with political leaders, top executives from the private sector, heads of nonprofits, well-known artists, and young activists. Again and again, these explorations opened up deep inner spaces and brought moments of transformation and insight. A powerful set of ‘values for a life economy’ have emerged, inspired by a new ecological formulation of the Golden Rule.
At the Climate Action Lab, these imaginal conversations are going public for the first time. Panelists will describe their transformative experiences, showing how moments of personal insight solidify the values that are essential for humans to live compassionately with each other and sustainably on this planet. They will then sketch concrete proposals for transformative action in response to the climate crisis, dialoguing together both with each other and with the audience.
The goal is that each listener will be moved and inspired by the insights of these well-known leaders, so that they too can present their personal narrative more powerfully — from transformative experiences, through their deepest core values, and on to transformative action in the world.
